News Gigabyte leaky GPU problem continues, here's the thermal putty creep in action

I've got a Gigabyte 9070 XT and no signs of the creep yet. But as soon as Alphacool releases their new water block in development, I'll be re-pasting my GPU and converting to water-cooled anyway.

If there is one AIB to flee like the plague, it would be Gigabyte.

The only motherboard I bought from them, died 2 times on me. I resold my RMA back in the days and moved on with another brand. Not had another incident with this specific computer at the time.

Asrock, Asus, Gigabyte... all blacklisted from my computers.

This is the first Gigabyte product I've ever owned. I do care about aesthetics in my builds, and as overused as the MSI dragon is, I prefer it over the fist-pumping eagle. When I finally had the opportunity to get my GPU, beggars couldn't be choosers.

Kind of similar with me. I wanted a 9070XT real bad but I couldn't get one from Amazon so I bought an RTX 5080 instead. I chose the ASUS brand and I have been very impressed with their product. Under the heaviest gaming loads, the card always stays under 60c. It idles around 30c and I live in a hot and humid climate. So ambient temps are pretty high.

LOL, and I wanted a 5080 over a 9070, but at the time there was no way to get one unless I wanted to spend $1700+. I couldn't justify it.

But yes, I agree with you that the 9070XT has been a fantastic card so far, I've been happy with my choice.

I just typed out a really long post detailing my experiences with Gigabyte, but the automatic AI thought it was spam or inappropriate despite having no swearing whatsoever in it.

This automatic moderation system is absolutely terrible, get rid of it.
